Project story

Fotolia is a successful stock photo store lunched in 2005. It is a marketplace for professional photographers and companies, like design studios, travel agencies, journals and others, who are interested in stock photos and illustrations. The project is growing, so the client’s goal was to find a professional development team for support and the development of new features and establishing a long-term partnership.

  • More than 3 million photos;
  • Project is launched already, so all improvements require strong testing;
  • Usage of Content Delivery Network for reliable site access;
  • Multi-level caching mechanisms.

Innovations

One of Fotolia’s core features is a complex photo search. Totem employees developed brand new search engine for Fotolia, that set up new reliability and quality standards.
